Saturday, May 14 workshop on "Webinars: Doing It Right"
The Canadian Association of Law Libraries is offering VALL members a chance to attend its May 14 workshop on “Webinars: Doing It Right”.
Webinars: Doing It Right
You’ve planned a great training session, but people just aren’t able to make it into your library. Don’t abandon all hope! Webinars are a low cost, high value way to provide training and build your community, wherever it happens to be. And as we all know, good libraries build services, but great libraries build communities. This session will help you write a compelling webinar, deliver it professionally, and troubleshoot common technical difficulties. It’s suited to any and all types of libraries.
Instructors: Shannon McLeod and Alex McNeur, Courthouse Libraries BC
Date: May 14, 2016 from 8:30 am to noon
Cost: $225 (for CALL, SLA, VALL and BCLMA members); $275 (everyone else)
Please contact Jessica Symons at email@example.com to register.
Equipment Required: Participants are required to bring their own laptop for use during the workshop for a hands-on learning experience. Participants will also be required to download the free trial version of the Adobe Connect software in advance of the workshop. Details on download options will be provided to registered attendees.
