Guest speaker Alyssa Green, of VPL's InfoAction, will be discussing research on businesses and their markets. Taking an in depth approach to the topic, Alyssa will cover (among others): finding company information and industry level and stock information. Alyssa will also live demo some useful sources.

This will be a free flowing discussion guided by the areas of expertise represented in the room.

Join SLA's Western Canada Chapter for a half-day project
management workshop in Vancouver with Jim Brosseau of Clarrus Consulting.
At the 2014 Annual Conference, SLA President Kate Arnold identified project management skills as a key competency for information professionals.

It's with deep sadness that I share, a valued colleague, librarian, friend and SLAIS graduate, Vivian Schmidt, passed away June 21st. Vivian worked for many local libraries, public & special and was recognized for her expertise in the area of legal librarianship, Please join us in remembering Vivian Sat. Vivian Schmidt's memorial service will be at the Hamilton Harron Funeral Home 5390 Fraser St., Vancouver on Saturday July 5th, at 2:00pm.
