December Luncheon – “The Update” with Kayla Strong and Nathan Lapper
Please join VALL for our December Luncheon, “The Supreme Court of Canada in 2017-2018: The Update” with guest speakers Kayla Strong and Nathan Lapper. In this interactive presentation, Kayla Strong and Nathan Lapper review some of the most significant cases decided by the Supreme Court of Canada in 2017/2018 and ask the audience to guess which way the court went on some of the toughest decisions faced by our Supreme Court in the past year.
Kayla Strong and Nathan Lapper are both associates in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation group at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP. Kayla and Nathan both developed a significant interest in Supreme Court of Canada jurisprudence through their experience as judicial law clerks. Nathan clerked for 6 BC Supreme Court Justices and Kayla clerked for Chief Justice Robert Bauman at the BC Court of Appeal. Kayla and Nathan’s practices both involve public law and include Charter and other constitutional issues.
