On Behalf of the President-elect of the Special Libraries Association, Western Canada Chapter, VALL members are invited to the SLA WCC Year End Event.
VALL member, Jason Wong, will be the Keynote speaker at this event. Jason is the Competitive Intelligence Research Specialist and Law Librarian at McCarthy Tétrault. Previous to working at McCarthy Tétrault, he worked as a law librarian at the Alberta Law Libraries, an academic librarian at Grant MacEwan University, and business librarian at the University of Alberta Libraries. He completed his MLIS at the University of Alberta. Through these various librarian-based roles, Jason has served a diverse patron base. In his speaking engagement, he will share his observations about diversity in the profession, and how LIS professionals in special library settings can be positive examples for external stakeholders.
