• Canadian Association of Law Libraries: call for proposals for the 2019 conference

Each year the Canadian Association of Law Libraries holds their annual conference in May. In 2019, the conference is in Edmonton, Alberta. The planning committee is calling for proposals for 45 minute sessions and lightning talks.

    • Have you had successes others can learn from?
    • What emerging trends and issues need further exploration and discussion?
    • Do you see core-skill development gaps?
    • Have you taken on a non-traditional role that others could explore?
    • Have you incorporated technology in a new or innovative way?

All industry professionals are invited to turn their successes and innovative ideas into learner-centric sessions offering high-level content. If you have a proposal to inform, inspire, or innovate, submit it today!

    Submit a Proposal!

CALL/ACBD has compiled a list of Professional Development Pathways and will accept proposals falling under these pathways. Perhaps one of the topics is exactly what your library has been tackling this year. Maybe you know the perfect presenter. Perhaps a working group within your special interest group has been brainstorming about the topic already. Propose a program!

New this year: All sessions will be 45 minutes with a max of 2 presenters, to allow for more interaction and discussion time.

The deadline for submission is Monday, October 22; notifications will be sent to proposers in December.

We are excited about 2019 CALL/ACBD and look forward to seeing your proposals.

    Sincerely,

    2019 CALL/ACBD Conference Planning Committee
